Hi, I just came across your website while searching for camp sites on camp york with dogs. We have a English Staffy (like yours!!) and as I’m sure you know by now, like most English staffys she is a complete sook and hates to be left behind. We are heading up to Cape york next year (for the second time) but this time we are going to have to take our beautiful furry girl with us as she won’t stand being left behind. Just wondering if you had any tips re camp sites where you can have dogs? We have our eye on Elim beach particularly. We understand we have to miss the national parks (but we have been to some before) and i beleive we can still transverse them providing we keep our dog in the vehicle, which is fine for driving through. We also now the croc / snake issues as we travel a lot up north so will be keeping our girl on a lead and under control. We are unsure how to see Chilli beach as we missed this last time, thinking we may have to camp just outside teh national park and do a day trip in and out keeping out dog in teh vehicle. Any tips you can give us given you seem to know this area well and also understand how it is to own a sooky English staffy who we can’t leave behind would be great!!
Thanks heaps!
